Joe Thompson is a Roanoke native and intent on bettering the region. While attending Virginia Tech, Joe began his career in the field of real estate appraisal. Shortly after graduation, he became youngest MAI ever at the age of 24. In an effort to enhance his valuation and consulting skills, Joe took on value-add projects. This soon snow-balled into larger scale development endeavors. Over the past 5 years, projects have resulted in over $25 Million of value creation.
Joe is married to his wife Nicole and they have two children. In his free time the family enjoys exploring local outdoor attractions. Also, Joe has recently began teaching Real Estate Appraisal at his Alma Mater.
Tommy, a native of New Jersey, attended Virginia Tech. Following his graduation from the Property Management program, Tommy began his career with Equity Residential leasing and managing apartment homes in the Maryland/DC area. In 2012, he moved to Roanoke to manage and oversee the renovations of two apartment projects in the Downtown Roanoke area. Through the years Tommy has overseen a number of new construction and renovation projects, while having an integral part in the business operations that have stemmed from them.
Tommy is recently married to wife Taylor. They have two goats, a cat and dog. In his free time Tommy enjoys the hunting with dog “Bo”.
Jonathan Yates provides general business and personnel management for Property Catalyst Group. A Richmond native, Jonathan is a 2006 graduate of Concord University with a B.A. in Geography and a specialization in Geographic Information Systems. Following graduation, Jonathan served as a GIS Specialist for West Virginia’s Region I Planning and Development Council and as a Geographic Analyst for Nokia Business Systems, where he was involved in early-stage LIDAR data collection. In 2012, Jonathan began honing his business skills with Thompson Valuation and Property Catalyst Group. A strong belief that “all the pieces matter” guides his support and management of personnel.
Jon and wife, Jessica, have one daughter. In his free time Jon enjoys mountain biking.
